The PlayPoint team is such a pleasure to work with. More than that, they really understand how to design playgrounds that support children’s development. The playground we created together gives children space for imagination and active play, while also helping them develop gross and fine motor skills. Throughout our collaboration, PlayPoint kept children and their safety front and center. The result is a playground our children can’t get enough of. It has something for everyone and is a place where children are active, engaged, and happy.
Papua is renowned for its extreme environmental conditions. Playpoint rallied to the challenge and aspirations of the schools to provide experiential learning that extended beyond the classroom. Diligently, the Playpoint designers and advisors reviewed our demographic needs, environmental site constraints and our philosophy of learning. The collaboration was one of flexibility as the schools reoriented based on campus designs and learning needs. Playpoint provided numerous protype designs, recommendations for climatic conditions and creatively developed designs that engaged students, taught resilience, provided strength training and endurance; all based on sound educational and kinesthetic research.
The playgrounds provide: sensory learning for our young students to engage with sounds, textures and thematic play; natural flow from apparatus to apparatus; eloquent and stylish aesthetics; age appropriate equipment and play zones; and rigor in engineering to international safety standards.
The results of our collaboration are inspirational. The joy and excitement of students in play is testament to the collaboration. A great team, great aspirations and great results!
Thank you for the collaboration on the PEL playground Tree Houses changes. Your ideas and insights were incredibly helpful and developmentally appropriate. The changes have significantly impacted the number of children playing in the Tree Houses and how the children are using the Tree Houses.
