Playpoint was delighted to host an inspiring evening with our partners, landscape architects, and playscape enthusiasts at The Salon, National Museum of Singapore on Thursday, 16 October 2025.
Organised in collaboration with Lappset, the leading Finnish play and sport equipment brand distributed by Playpoint, the event explored how play continues to shape human development well beyond childhood.
Under the theme “Beyond Childhood: Play Spaces for Teens and Communities,” the session examined how thoughtful playground design can enhance physical development, spatial awareness, and risk assessment skills through natural movement and engaging play experiences.
A featured urban playground case study showcased how design innovation supports both upper and lower body strength while encouraging social interaction and inclusivity. The discussion also highlighted the importance of designing for tweens and teens—a group often overlooked in traditional playgrounds—by creating spaces that feel relevant, challenging, and “cool.”
Beyond youth, the event emphasized how multi-generational playscapes can extend opportunities for parkour, freerunning, and active social engagement, transforming play areas into vibrant community hubs that inspire movement, connection, and creativity for all ages.
Playpoint and Lappset extend heartfelt thanks to all our guests for joining us in celebrating the evolving art of play and reimagining how design can enrich communities through thoughtful, inclusive play environments.
